Nederland high school shelter is closing

The evacuation center and shelter at Nederland High School is closing today at 2 p.m. Boulder County case workers will be on hand to help support those still at the shelter at that time. The Boulder County Disaster Assistance Center

Cold Springs Fire Thursday update

The fire is 80% contained and is expected to be at 100% containment before this evening. The fire perimeter area needs to stay closed today for the following activities: Firefighting activities: Mop up and securing fire lines Xcel Energy will be flying

Livestock evacuations – Gilpin County Fairgrounds are full

Gilpin County Fairgrounds are FULL. They cannot accept any more livestock. Residents will have to arrange for their large animals to go to the Boulder County Fairgrounds.

Additional county closures

Betasso Preserve and Reynolds Ranch are now closed in addition to the earlier closures of Caribou Ranch, Mud Lake, and the Nederland Mining Museum.  Additional information will be posted when available or go to Boulder County Parks and Open Space Facebook Page
