Financial Contributions for Residents Impacted by Cold Springs Fire
A fire relief fund has been set up through Foothills United Way for the collection of financial donations to help residents impacted by the Cold Springs Fire near Nederland. Those seeking to make online contributions can visit www.ColdSpringsFireFund.org. The funds will be distributed by the Boulder County Department of Housing and Human Services through case managers working with fire-impacted residents to determine need.

Evacuation Sites
Two evacuation sites and overnight shelters are currently operating: Nederland High School (597 Eldora Road) and East Boulder Recreation Center (5660 Sioux Drive, Boulder). Pets are welcome at both locations, and crates and food are being provided for them as well.
Volunteers
We know community members want to help and are willing to volunteer, but please remember that volunteers and in-kind donations are not needed at this time. The most flexible form of help at this time is cash assistance, so donations through the Cold Springs Fire Fund are the most important way to help those in our community impacted by the fire. Those seeking to volunteer should not show up at the evacuation centers and shelters or go to the scene of the disaster. The arrival of unexpected volunteers will interfere with response efforts. Volunteers will be needed most during the recovery phase in the days and weeks to come.
