Fire-affected structures identified after Damage Assessment

Boulder County, Colo. – A Damage Assessment Team was escorted by the Incident Management Team to survey damage identified by ground crews.

The land survey resulted in identifying three homes that are destroyed. These homes each included one outbuilding each that was also destroyed (for a total of 6 destroyed structures).

This is an active fire with fire crews still working in the area. The area is still a mandatory evacuation zone and residents should not be inside the zone. Currently there are 52 additional structures within the fire perimeter, of those structures, 30 are identified as homes. At this time, there are no identified homes in the immediate path of the fire. Shifting winds and high temperatures could potentially put more homes in danger.

Currently the weather is sitting at temperatures between 84-88 with a minimum humidity of 10-15%. Wind is currently out of the West and SW with gusts up to 35 MPH. Conditions are considered unstable and extremely dry. A projected cold front will be coming in tomorrow morning which will bring in high winds.
