As Sheriff Pelle mentioned in his update at the 1 p.m. Community Meeting, residents whose homes are within the fire footprint will be allowed to go to their property tomorrow morning to throw away food, grab new clothes, collect paperwork, etc. Residents will only have two hours to collect their things before being escorted back out of the evacuation zone.
The zone is being split into two separate groups of people in order to maintain safety and order. A map explaining what time certain areas will be able to access their homes is being created now. Those on the south side of the fire will have access at 7-9 a.m. and residents on the north half of the footprint will have access at 9-11 a.m.
That map should be available at 3 p.m.
