A media briefing will be held at 11 a.m. at the McGuckin Hardware Distribution Center parking lot on Foothills Highway (U.S. 36) at Neva Rd.. The U.S. Forest Service will address questions about the fire at that briefing.

All evacuations were lifted yesterday afternoon except for homes along the north side of Lefthand Canyon Drive from Geer Canyon to the three mile marker.

Lefthand Canyon Drive remains closed to the public from U.S. 36 to James Canyon to allow access for emergency vehicles. Residents who need access to their homes on the closed section of Lefthand Canyon Drive should be prepared to show identification at the access check points.
