The road closures from last night remain in place to allow access for firefighting and emergency equipment to work unimpeded on the Maxwell Fire:

• Residents with I.D. can enter the checkpoint at Lefthand Canyon Dr. and U.S. 36 up to Olde Stage Rd. Lefthand is closed to all general traffic from U.S. 36 to James Canyon Dr.
• Contractors and other visitors will need to gain the aid of a resident escort to access residences along Lefthand Canyon Drive from U.S. 36 up to Olde Stage Road.
• Lefthand Canyon Rd. is closed to ALL traffic (excepting emergency vehicles) between James Canyon Drive and Olde Stage Road.
• Due to the hard closure at Olde Stage Road and Lefthand Canyon Drive, contractors and other visitors who wish to reach residences south of Lefthand Canyon Road on Olde Stage Road will need to detour to Lee Hill Drive for access to Olde Stage Road
