At the request of Allenspark Fire Protection District, Boulder County Sheriff’s Dispatch launched a pre-evacuation Everbridge emergency telephone message at 4:32 a.m. that read:
This is the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Notification System. At 04:32:50 on 10-24-2020 a Pre-Evacuation has been issued for the area(s) of Wild Basin to the Larimer County Line due to fire activity near Estes Park. Take the following protective actions: Prepare in case of evacuation. This Pre-Evacuation stands Until Further Notice. If you need assistance or might need extra time, begin your evacuation now. If you choose to evacuate now, you may go to the Nederland Community Center at 750 Highway 72 in Nederland. Please take the route of Highway 7 to Peak to Peak Highway (Highway 72) south to Nederland.
