Boulder Fire-Rescue working to protect structures should winds shift west

Boulder firefighters are working actively in the Stony Hill neighborhood and south to protect homes IF the winds shift west and cause the fire to spread toward the City of Boulder. Engines and other firefighting equipment are also located there. The goal is to create a wet zone about 30 feet from homes as a barrier. So far, no structures have been damaged, and the fire is continuing to move south. We also have terrific support through mutual aid from nearby agencies.
