All-Hazards Alert (AHA) System:

The AHA system is a way of quickly determining the current threat level of an emergency, and a basic idea of the nature of the threat.

This system is based on the familiar “green/yellow/red” traffic light:

Green:
Everything is normal, but you should maintain your situational awareness and observe your surroundings

Yellow:
Analyze the situation, be cautious, gather more information about what is happening, and decide what actions to take

Red:
STOP what you are doing and take action now. Fully implement emergency plans
